Dream About Touching Feces

I did consider adding this to my main feces dream page however that article is long enough that I felt this needed its own short guide. In my 30 years of being a medium, and the people that e-mail me I have found this is one of those dreams people are almost too embarrassed to ask about, but they do, and more often than you think. 

What does it mean to dream of touching feces?

In a dream, touching feces is not as bad as it is when you wake up. But in many cases it means something important is undergoing a change in your life. The key is - you touch something in the dream and you are avoiding it. That is the message.

• What does it mean to dream about cleaning up feces: this is one of the positive versions of this dream. Cleaning it up means you are doing the work. In my viewpoint this dream comes up for people who are sorting through a tough situation and moving ahead, even though it does not really feel like that yet.
• What does it mean to dream about touching someone else's poo: this one is about tackling someone else's mess. This dream is an invitation to examine where your boundaries are.
  What does it mean to dream of touching animal feces: in older dream books this involves instinct and nature. In my experience - it says something raw and unfiltered in your life but nothing you can not handle.
• What does it mean to touch feces in a dream: I believe this means something uncomfortable has happened in life, unknowingly. I don’t think you knew the problem - it came to you. This dream is asking you to face it and not run away.

How do you touch feces in a dream? In terms of meaning, I always find that it is about avoiding something in waking life. Maybe you are facing something you have been avoiding. I also see this dream as a change of course. Maybe a new job, relationship or something of that nature.  

What does it mean to dream of feces on your hands?

This is the version of this dream most commonly encountered. Feces on your hands point to something you are already buried in, something that feels messy and hard to clean up in waking life. It may be a relationship, a financial situation or maybe something you said that you can not change.

My conclusion

If you have had this dream please don't be embarrassed by it, do not ignore it. In Scottish folklore, to dream of feces meant money was coming, and I think that says something deeper. And you can not get new things while you are holding on to what must go. Touching it in a dream means you are ready to let it go of the money and take on spiritual meaning. That isn't a good omen.
