Dead Dove Spiritual Meaning
Dead Dove Meaning
In my spiritual work, this can be a bit worrying, seeing anything dead is a worry, I need to tell you that this is about peace in life. A dead dove is about peace but also focused on what is important in life. When you have been struggling in life, the dove normally shows up. From my perspective, if you see a dead dove on the ground this is about something maybe coming to a close.
A dead dove seen in a garden is about soemthign that is not straightforward, and not really knowing what way is up. The sight of a dead dove on your windowsill, is about trusting someone, that is a good person. This is a symbol of a better tomorrow and is about a chance to express yourself.
What does it mean to see a dead dove?
When a dove that is dead crosses your path in your waking life (not just your dream world) it is interpreted as a direct omen in many older traditions, and a more modern type of spiritual sign known as a "messenger animal." In my view, many traditions have underlying logical arguments of their own for giving much more weight to signs than in your waking life.
Doves have a tradition as messenger of peace, literally in that way in many traditions around the world and long before the invention of modern communications. As a result, the symbolic use of the dove to is about a message. Many traditions use the dove as a symbol of message received, and a dead dove is about accepting things in life.
What does it mean to find a dead dove?
If you actually find the dead dove this holds special meaning in many spiritual traditions. When the dove was truly and completely dead, the finding of such a bird is a sign that something or someone close to you is going to leave very soon. Also, as I have said before, the dove is strongly associated with peace and purity, the finding of a dead dove does not, according to most traditions, carry with it a dark omen or negative vibes. This signals instead that a new phase in the life of the person who finds it is beginning, and that time for the period of peace or serenity is now concluded.
When you see a dead dove by a window, take it as a sign, you need to work at keeping peace in your home. Some European customs that are fairly old specifically say if you find a dead dove bird near your house, it means you should look after any broken relationships: Someone that you argued last week, for instance, or haven't spoken to for a long time. You need to attend to them. A dead dove is not meant to make you feel guilty, but rather guide you into action while there's still time.
Seeing dead doves are also common at times of active mourning, and this is just a sign to give you peace. I have had several people tell me how a dead dove is a sign of ending.
A dove you discover dead near your home or workplace is more likely connected to some aspect of your personal life or daily routine. However, if you come across a dead dove in a different place like when you're traveling away from your home, it likely has a more universal or symbolic meaning.
Dead birds, at least as far as folklore goes, are hardly a warning signal for crazy things so don’t worry. In fact, dead birds are an old omen used around the world to show the end of a peaceful time. They are a reminder to start thinking about what lies ahead in terms of work, family, and relationships If seeing the white dove left you feeling anxious, then this is about making sure that you are focused on what is important to you such as your work or family.
Summary
In my view, the dove has always been the bird of peace. As something delicate, and something that tends to need to be watched over, if you find a dead dove in the real world is often a physical confirmation a chapter has closed in something in life.
