Alchemy

Using alchemy to help your life

The mingling of elements or the transformation of dross into something useful as in turning lead into gold.

For spiritual applications it is the practice of turning one elemental or planetary energy into another.

These individuals try to spiritualize matter in order to accomplish the Great Work of unifying with the higher genius or higher self (see HIGHER SELF).

Alechemy is the mingling of elements or the transformation of dross into something useful as in turning lead into gold. For spiritual applications it is the practice of turning one elemental or planetary energy into another. Pagan alchemists also will be people that craft with herbs – taken from the book, “The Herbal Alchemist” and classifies the mixing and mingling of herbs for different purposes.

When any person of the occult refers to alchemy, typically they are talking about the latter definition, but it is important that you know the differential because especially on website and forums the meaning will be based on the content around and it could be confusin - if you are thinking about one and then the other person means another! If we look at alchemy deeper, it was popular during the 19th century this was due to movement of the magical systems of the Golden Dawn and also the hermetic society in general.

Dr Jung devoted many years of study to alchemy in order to understand how the system works from a Freemason perspective. This is also investigated by the Rosicrucians.  Alchemy in the modern world has been somewhat forgotten as myth. Obviously Dr Jung is famous for his interpretations of dreams from a psychological perspective rather than alchemy. He spent much time reviewing alchemy books and associated items.

He also said he used to come across many dreams that he could not explain and found alchemy was the answer to many of these dreams. The indians of North America believed in what was known as the Hopis. This is basically how one creates materials through spiritual endeavours and rituals.

When we think of alchemy we often have a visualisation of a wizard or man strange bent hats trying to turn items into gold. Alternatively, creating the philosopher's stone.  This has become popular due to the Harry Potter movies and books by JK Rowling. But what is alchemy? Alchemy, even though we are in the modern world is still alive and being practised by many alchemists.

It provides us with a detailed insight into various therapies, new medications, parapsychology and finally quantum physics. In essence alchemy looks at the deepest thoughts in our minds and how you can transfer materials and thoughts into elements that will help us. There are many reasons why learning about alchemy is important for one's spiritual path.

If one wants to seek power, fame, a partner, or riches in life it is thought that the teachings alchemy can help materialise the desires and wishes. Life is a journey and it is important that we choose the right road to bridge our own dreams and desires. The perfect definition of alchemy has been described by writer known as Stanislas Kloosowiski de Rosa called the book called “This secret art.”

Within this book defines alchemy as the bridge between Earth and Heaven. The bridge between matter and spirit, secrets of nature and death. In essence, Alchemy offers one the possibility to connect to the invisible planes.

Specifically, how the worlds  relate to our existence and reality. It is been thought that the alchemical road  can provide peace of mind including a more positive lifestyle.
