Job’s tears are obtained from seeds of a special grass that has been named Coix lachryma-jobi, the term “tears” comes from the fact that the seeds have a similar appearance to the human tears.
This grass originated from parts of Asia but is nowadays in common use in various parts of Africa, India as well as many others. It is mainly used in the making of items of beauty better known as jewelry, in the preparation of food and in the making of covers for gourd rattles.
The name Job originates from Job who has been mentioned in the Bible, he suffered built never gave up his faith. The tears are mainly used in the fulfillment of wishes more so the seven-day wishes. This will be done in quite a simple process that entails holding them in your hand and making a genuine wish, you may also put them in your pocket for one week and on the last day, go to a spring or river and read chapter 23 of psalms from the bible as you hold the seeds in your palms. After asking the Lord for your wish, throw the seeds into the running water while facing the opposite side and go away without looking back. People have held believes that after one week, your wishes will be granted to you.
The tears are used mainly in the healing and bringing about of good luck. In some Mexican folk on magic, good in gambling goes to the person who has the seeds in the pocket. Note that, the seeds are usually used in sevens. However, in rare circumstances, three seeds will work out miracles.
