My take on Vest Dreams

I know this might sound a little daft, but I believe that vests are interesting in that they are set in the middle of our bodies. The vest covers your chest, heart and core but leave your arms free. To me, this matters it spiritually shows work, as arms are you working. So I normally see dreams of vests when someone has to work on something, or there is issues at work.

What does a vest dream mean?

I do feel this is protection without restriction. Maybe you are defending something important - your feelings, your energy - maybe your boundaries - but you're still letting yourself move, reach out, act. It's a healthy symbol actually. It isn't fully protected, but you are not totally exposed either. Usually somewhere in the middle - which is where most of us are trying to get to.

What does it mean to dream of a vest?

It means you're in a period of quiet self-protection. Not shutting people out but being a little more wary of who gets close and what gets shared. Maybe something made you that way recently. And that's okay. It is not judging it that the dream is doing so - it is noting it. Sometimes being careful is smartest. If you dream of a childrens vest this is about protecting your inner child, a white vest means something pure is coming into your life.

What does it mean to "daydream about a bulletproof vest"?

I do think that you know something is coming. I have written a totally new dream meaning for this. It can signal a hard conversation, a decision - something you know you're going to have to hold your ground in. It's your brain getting you ready for the moment with a bulletproof vest. Which actually means somewhere under all of it, you know you can handle it. Your brain wouldn't bother with the armour otherwise.

What does it mean to dream about taking a vest off?

I do feel this is about feeling safe enough to quit protecting yourself so much. Or maybe something in your life is making you think more deeply about something important to you.
