Twister Dream Meaning

I do not believe seeing a twister in a dream, is the same as seeing a tornado which is why I have written this different meaning. The sky is just gone wrong with a tornado, completely. The twister is the shape and this is why it is a different type of dream. The reason I have seperated this out is because the force inside the sky is called a twister, its the twist. The turn. Spiritually, this is a spiral which changes shape through a life.

In dreams, a twister is not normally about weather. It's about energy, it is about something which has been turning for some time and which is becoming apparent now. In olden times, the spiral was really sacred. It was carved in stone, and it could be seen in the stars. But when the spiral comes in a twister it isn't gentle. It's the spiral in its raw form. It turns but it does not stop. I've had emails from people who dreamed of twisters and then watched their lives turn. A marriage twisted, for the good, the mind twisted. A family secret popped up and ran through the house. It isn't always bad per say. But there is always movement. It's the twister which says : You can not stay this way.

What is the spiritual meaning of a twister?

In the old texts it's never just wind, I would say it is whirlwind. It's a messenger, and the shape the unseen takes when it would like to be known. In the bible, Job heard a voice in the whirlpool. Not from a calm sky. Not from a still little voice in that moment, from the centre of the turn. That's the key of a twister, the outside destroys but the centre holds.

In the books I have rad the Shamans knew this. And the dervishes knew it. The spiral is the turning prayer, the sacred spin. The twister can be chaos not chaos. It is order too quickly for the eye to follow.

When it comes in a dream, it's usually because something in you is ready to be undone. Not destroyed, undone and unwound.

What about a twister seen in the home or around your house in a dream?

If a twister shows up close to your home in your dream or near your kids or near in which you grew up it's generally related to lineage. The spiral of the family. The patterns that repeat. Same argument, same silence, same wound from mother to son. The spiral is a twister in the family 's dream. It is saying: Look what has turned through this house for generations. You might have only seen it once. But it always has been there.

If you're attempting to collect your kids in the dream, that's love. But it might also be fear. Fear of where the spiral will take them. Fear that you are able to not stop what has started. The thing is you can not stop a twister. However , you stand in the centre. And at times that's enough.

In my view, twisters in dreams aren't the same as tornadoes. Tornadoes are the event. Twisters rule the force. The twister is the spiral of your becoming, displayed to you in the language of the soul, in that it can come but you can hold boarders and set boundaries.
