Spiritual dreams that i die

dream i die

What does a dream that I die mean?

If you dream you actually die. Or turn into a ghost, or your just not here then this is a very powerful dream. Firstly, this dream is not the same as the death dream. This is something else. If you actually die in a dream then this is about moving about completion of a situation in life.

If you died in a dream are you in another dimension?

Many people believe that you can move dimensions, in that the soul can travel to another plane, "the other side" or even some sort of liminal space. It's been an ancient belief across many different cultures. The idea that the dreaming brain takes us somewhere beyond our 3-dimensional universe is all but unsubstantiated. Any dream can have a spiritual meaning depending on our thought process, whether there is another dimension, whether that dimension exists and if so, what it contains and who is in it is something that normally appears later on in our waking world. This could be other “wakening” instances that can make it feel as though you did visit another pace.

If you came back with a sense of ease or peace, or that death isn't the end of all things, then even though that is something that cannot be verified, it is still worth considering. What most people call astral projection is a common mental state in which the experience of being in the air, "floating" above the body, happens. But no-one, not even me, will ever tell you that you're shown something that no-one else has seen in a dream. So don't get worked up about it. If a dream has made you frightened, incapable of sleep or confused about what's real, talk to someone you trust.

If you had a weird dream whereby you have died or died and come back to this world then this in some sense is about your spiritual development, we need to look at the theory of how we evolve and what this dream can mean spiritually. There has long been an idea in Buddism that we can access other dimensions when we dream, in some sense people who have had this dream actually probably have goals they don’t want.

  • Falling points to loss of control. Maybe a plan, job or money is a little wobbly. Some wake up just before landing, which I take to mean you have time to catch yourself.
  • Usually being shot or stabbed involves a sudden hurt, betrayal or sharp words. It may also be your own anger directed inward.
  • A car crash can be about a direction that just isn't working or that things are moving too quickly for you to steer.
  • Illness or dying in bed is a slow ending, like burnout or something that's been draining you little by little.
  • A peaceful death is a good sign for what it 's's worth. You're accepting the change.
  • Being murdered means something or someone is attacking something inside of you. It could be someone crushing your confidence or a habit wrecking you.
  • To see the detached version, for example watching yourself die from above. You are watching an old you go and it's often quite calm. It means you're already halfway through the change.
  • Dying and coming back is probably the best version. It's a rebirth. What you thought was the end was a doorway.
  • Drowning means overwhelmed by emotion. Something feels too big, and you go under. Who or what is pulling your down?
  • Turning into a ghost or moving around knowing you are dead can indicate a shift of perspective in the waking world

If you dreams that you die… is this more than just a dream?

I always find that an ordinary dream is just a bit of a jumble: your childhood home is also your office, there's a familiar face from school in a helicopter, and by the time you get up for breakfast the whole lot melts away and you switch in the dream mode. So basically normal dreams are just a mashed up jumble of normally what things happened in the day.

I always think that a 'spiritual' dream is something I always say you can tell. There are certain things about the dream that is more real than a normal dream. I also find is not really jumbled and often has a specific part you remember. Basically, think of it like,  there is no extra junk in there. It might be a powerful vision, or it may be an important story that you still recall with vivid detail, and feel the feelings from, months and years later. Sometimes, there's a shift in your life after a spiritual dream: you do or say something which you previously resisted, or you have a sense of letting go of an obsession, a fear, or a need. I have also found that you can feel or touch more than normal, even taste things in a spiritual dream.

Does this dream mean I will die?

No, in twenty years of reading dreams I have come across dying in a dream as one of the commonest and most misinterpreted dreams. It almost never means death by physical means. It usually means something in life is ending, has ended, and must stop, and part of you noticed before the rest of you are ready to admit it's happening.

I always say it's the dream world with a big word for a big change. If a job, marriage, version of yourself or essentially a chapter of life is coming to a close, it does not send a polite note. It stages a funeral.

What does it mean if you die in a dream?

I do feel that this dream is different in some way to normal death.  Nearly everyone hates the death card of the tarot, but any decent reader knows it rarely means Death by any means. It means an ending that allows something new to happen. Dreams work the same, a caterpillar has to stop being a caterpillar in order to change.

Many people's dreams involve dying around major life changes like retirement, divorce, move house, parenthood or death of a parent. The person you were before then is real life has changed. It makes sense that it should be marked with a dream.

Why did it feel so realistic?

Because it was emotional. Because the dreaming brain can not tell imagined feelings from lived ones, fear, sadness or even a strange peacefulness may be as vivid as anything in your awake state. People tell me that dream was more real than daytime. That does not mean it happened. It means the feeling underneath is real and wants your attention.

I also find that the more vivid it is, the more about something you are carrying inside of you - stress, grief, or that decision you keep putting on the back burner.

What does dying in a dream mean to you biblically?

The Bible says that death is more often change. Jesus said a grain must fall into the ground and kill itself before it bears fruit (John 12: 33). 24). Paul writes about being buried and raised to a new life (Romans 6: 4), and about killing the old self so a new can live.

What happens if you sleep and die in a dream?

At the end of the day, what comes clear to me, is that you do wake up. That's the honest response. Everybody who has ever told someone they were dying in a dream got up, or they would not have told us. What often happens is that the dream continues in another scene or you are floating, watching or somewhere else completely, which many find interesting rather than frightening. If the dream continues after you die, it is probably saying that the ending was a state change, not a full stopping point.

Why do I dream that I die?

Recurring dreams mean the message has not arrived yet. Same ending keeps knocking on your door because you aren't answering it. Sometimes it's something you know but haven't acted upon: A job you should quit, a relationship you've outgrown, or a worry you've avoided. But deal with the real-life end, even a little bit like one honest conversation or a decision, and those dreams fade away. It's usually the avoiding that keeps them coming, not the ending itself.

Is dying in a dream good or bad?

I often think it is a good one. It usually shows up just before someone lets something go that is not serving them. It's uncomfortable, sure, but uncomfortable is not dangerous. To die in a dream is rarely the end. More often it means something is done and you need to walk out. That's frightening, I think it means a new chapter begins.

A dream like this is almost never about a real thing. Much more frequently it is about feeling like life is simply too chaotic or out of your control, too much going at you at one time. Think about what you feel is under siege - work, family or money. It could be a clue that the stress is bigger that you admit to.
