What does it mean to dream of a heart attack?

A heart attack seen in a dream can be your own heart attack or you could see somenoe having a heart attack. The crazy thing about this is that it is about your heart on this earth, I like to think of this as our internal lotus leaf. When we put allot of effort into anything in life I often see dreams of heart attacks appear, especially if we walk away from that. The heart is about love and care and normally I find someone who has given everything has this type of dream.

In my spiritual experience these are my quick thoughts:

• A heart attach in a dream is about emotions
• I often find these dreams appear when someone is not giving you the heart meaning someone is detached
• Who is having the heart attack is important, if it is you it is about your heart chakra and that you need to go inside to find out how you feel
• If someone else has a heart attack then people have failed to care normally in my experience and you are seeing that
  An animal having a heart attack is about our human interactions with people
• The heart is connected to the lotus in buddhism and about the awakening and opening yourself up spiritually

What does it mean to dream of having a heart attack yourself?

It's a powerful, scary dream but there is a great symbolism embedded in the fact that your heart suddenly stops.

It's been my experience that a dream about having a heart attack almost never has to do with the actual heart. The symbol of the heart is always involved in some way. People dream they have heart attacks right before betrayals, right before losses (or bereavements), right before having to release relationships they've been holding on to with willpower, or before having to stop stalling a decision. The dream represents the sudden shutting off of some thing or activity that has been going on normally.

In Buddhism, a rose lotus represents awakening, in yoga, the 12-petaled "lotus of the heart" is associated with the anahata, heart-centre, it is also a dream in which your heart is opening. It has to do with a form of Avalokiteshvara, the bodhisattva Guanyin in Chinese and Japanese Buddhism, who is associated with compassion. This red lotus represents the "lotus of the heart." So all in all this is not a negative dream.

To dream that you are experiencing a heart attack and trying to call someone, or emergency services come it is a sign to take a look at yourself, see what's closing, and pay attention to what begins to open after it does. Your heart is being compressed by all the mud. Whether it represents a traumatic memory or an opportunity to grow depends on how you feel during a dream. If there's fear or panic, it likely represents anxiety. But if you're calm or even ecstatic, it could represent some kind of transformation.

What does it mean to dream of someone else having a heart attack?

If you see someone having a heart attack in the dream this is about people around you. Maybe to some degree someone has lost their heart or are not being truthful with who they are. In spiritual work I often find this connects to Chinese mythology, Nezha literally gives up his own body to his parents. From remains, he is resurrected from the roots and leaves of a lotus. That is death and rebirth in a new form. If the person in your dream is a man, ask who he is. A father or boss could mean your doubts about authority, while a husband represents your fears about providing or protecting. When he's just an unknown stranger, he could be a part of yourself, the part that never stops pushing you to get going.

Across many western folklore, dreaming of a heart attack is rarely about the physical realm, it basically means something emotional. It could be a manifestation of depression, or grief, or maybe some aspect of your life seems like it's "caving in."

If the person is unknown in your dream that has a heart attack this is about sensing something with people around you. Sometimes people go into silence when they don’t want to admit their failings and this is where I normally see this dream happen.

What does it mean to dream of a pre-heart attack?

If your dreams of chest pain are accompanied by real symptoms after you wake up, such as breathlessness at night, feeling of tightness in the chest, waking up sweaty, or unusual tiredness, treat it as a signal and see your GP. Poor sleep and sleep apnoea are linked to poor heart health, so try to get more sleep in the meantime. 

I also want to say, that emotions can show up in the body, and chest pain is one place you may feel your emotions. It can feel heavy in your chest, like you're wearing a heavy belt, or like there's a big weight on your chest. Often, after a few conversations with your doctor, you find out what the "weight" is.

What does it mean for a heart attack to turn into death?

Across Britain and Ireland there is an ancient belief that death dreams happen by 'contraries': you'll 'dream of a death and you're sure to hear of a wedding or a birth'. YThe Welsh have the canwyll corff - 'the corpse candle' which in my books appear at a death; the Irish the banshee; the Highland Scots the second sight when an individual has a vision of a death in the future. Our ancestors never tired of reminding us that the veil between worlds was sometimes thin.
 

What is the biblical meaning of a heart attack dream?

God uses a recurring biblical principle to interpret the dream: the heart is in everything. "Guard your heart with all diligence," says Scripture. "Because out of it proceed the issues of life" (Prov 4:23). Ezekiel later says in what I read that God had promised to give each Israelite a "heart of flesh" instead of a "heart of stone" (36:26). Psalm 73:26 says, "My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart."

But there are also two areas in the bible where I think heart attacks are important: One is Nabal whose "heart died within him" when his words and actions shocked David and his men and then, as a consequence, Nabal "perished [died]," (1 Samuel 25:37). The other is that people's "hearts fail" them from "fear" because of "what is coming." There is also a strong Biblical indication (for example, Job 33:14-16) that God is quite willing to speak with people through dreams.

So a biblically I think this tends to be focused on what weighs heavily on our hearts, what fears have hardened them, and where we are being invited to lean on something stronger than ourselves.

If a heart attack dream has poped up, take it seriously in two ways. In a dream, my own experience over the years is that the heart is the physical organ and the centre of us, and this dream is about emotions.
