Fairies Dream Meaning

We are living in a funny world right now, and there is so many posts on social media of fairies actually being real. If you have had this dream it is a blessing, in my channelled spiritual work seeing a fairy is a great omen. It means you need to keep going. If the fairy had wings and was flying this is a dream about trying to fly above difficulties in life.

What my older books say about fairies?

I know if you had a dream about this you are probably wondering if this is true or not. People ask me if fairies are real, and ask me this far more often than they ask about the meaning of the fairy dream itself. It's a completely different thing to wonder whether or not the actual fairy you were dreaming of at the time might be real. If you have that question, I think you are entitled to an accurate, honest answer from the best source that I have and that is from my spiritual work.

What is the biblical meaning of fairy dreams?

There is nothing directly mentioned in the Bible, even though fairy dreams often get lumped in with biblical dream meanings (because the word fairy and the folklore tradition come from a much later European time period). You won't see the name fairy in the bible. The verse in Corinthians (11:14), warns that what appears to be something good or attractive might in fact be deception or illusion. The belief in fairies in folk legends developed during the Middle Ages from Biblical material which taught that the spiritual realm was filled with various spirits, many of them angel-like, that could masquerade as humanity. To this point, fairies aren't specifically mentioned in scripture at all. If you are asking me what I think the biblical meaning of fairies are (from a spiritual perspective) I would say don’t give up.
 

What about my old dream books and lore?

Well, this is where I think things get misunderstood. The old books about Irish and Scottish fairies, the Welsh or Scandinavian trolls and shape-shifters were not written to prove fairies, elves, brownies, and other strange things really existed in our world. They were written to record what Irish, Scottish, Welsh and Scandinavian communities of people at various points in the past thought and believed to be true. A folklorist in the nineteenth century who wrote about a folk-tale about living fairies, was not making a claim that fairies really exist (i.e. a scientific claim) but simply to show a belief or perception held by a community of people at some time in history.

That's a huge distinction to me, and it seems to me that a lot of modern dream books remove the belief that fairies exist. One thing is a book saying "this is what everyone has thought all these centuries," and the other is a book that states "this is the truth." Most of the old fairy stories belong in the former category. They make huge claims for their information.

And, to give you a straight, but still truthful answer, no widely from my readings, every major tradition that's taken this question seriously (right across different cultures and centuries) has essentially come to the conclusion that, there's an unseen world. Scripture says its inhabitants are angels and spirits. Islam teaches they are jinn, and part of reality. A load of old European folklore calls it simply ``nature spirits.” But I think it worth taking seriously that, despite their differences (their dress, wings, wands) give us on one basic truth about our reality: Our world is not alone, and the world shared by man is not easy to understand.

Even if fairytales are just made up stuff…, or a culture's old explanation for things we no longer understand, or something your subconscious comes up with while you sleep, it could still be something worth seriously considering. For instance, a fairy showing up in your dream could be an indication you are on the verge of a massive decision, and it is up to you whether or not you move forward with it.
