Uncover Hidden Dream Meanings

Corruption can take many forms, and it may be tough to recognize if you are not involved, but you will most likely know it when you see it. Corruption can be moral, spiritual, political, or it can pertain to a business.

If you dreamed about corruption, it was most likely a very detailed descriptive dream.

Dreams that involve corruption are usually representative of the deception you have dealt within your own life. You may be feeling betrayed or else guilty for the betrayal you have caused someone else. Alternatively, you could be too suspicious of the people around you, or else you are feeling judged by others.

In your dream you may have

  • Witnessed corruption.
  • Participated in corruption.
  • Seen someone become morally or spiritually corrupted.
  • Deceived or lied to someone.
  • Been deceived or lied to.
  • Felt guilty for corruption.
  • Encountered political corruption.
  • Encountered police corruption.
  • Encountered corporate corruption.
  • Met someone who is known to be corrupt (i.e. a real-life politician).
  • Corrupted a person (morally).

Positive changes are afoot if

  • You apologized or confessed to any corruption you took part in.
  • You reported corruption.
  • The corrupt person was someone you do not keep in contact with.
  • Your morality was corrupted but you felt better for it.

Detailed dream interpretation

If you simply witnessed corruption in your dream but took no part in it, you may be feeling as if there is a lot of deception in your life. You have been misled in the past so you are never sure who to trust or believe.

If you were the corrupt person in your dream, or if you were involved in the corruption in any way, then you are feeling guilty for past actions. You have done something wrong, but you know there is nothing you can do about it. You are also feeling anxious because you know karma will soon follow.

If you admitted to corruption or apologized to someone for corrupting them, then you are desperately trying to make up for past mistakes. There may not be any way you will ever be able to fix it, but you wish you could. You must learn to accept the things you cannot change. Try doing something nice for someone else instead. If you tried to fix the corruption and return things to normal in the dream, then there is a chance for forgiveness for your past mistakes.

If the dream had anything to do with moral corruption, then you have been feeling hurt or deceived emotionally. Someone has made you feel as if you do not deserve meaningful relationships with the people around you. You may also be feeling unsure about some of the immoral decisions you have made recently.

If the dream had anything to do with spiritual corruption, then you might be questioning your own beliefs. No matter who was spiritually corrupted in the dream, this is reflective of your own beliefs. Something has caused you to doubt your religious or spiritual stance.

If the dream involved the corruption of or by a large business or corporation, then you feel you have been taken advantage of. Whether it has to do with your workplace or your relationship, something is not right. You should try to sit down with the person who is causing this feeling, and see what you can do to solve it.

If the dream involved police or political corruption, then you are not feeling safe. In this dream, the people who we are supposed to trust most prove to be untrustworthy. However, this could refer to many things in your life—the solution could be as simple as purchasing a security alarm.

This dream is in association with the following scenarios in your life

  • Relationships with other people.
  • Real or perceived enemies.
  • The way you feel about government.
  • Dealing with emotions.
  • Lying and being lied to.
  • Guilt and deception.
  • Your ability to control others.

Feelings that you may have encountered during a dream of

Corrupt. Controlled. Controlling. Empty. Satisfied. Tainted. Dirty. Deceitful. Spiteful. Resentful. Angry. Apologetic. Guilty. Deceived.
