A Spell to Sleep Well
Sleep is imperative to being healthy and most of us take it for granted and don’t get the hours of sleep that we should.
Sleeping allows our energies to rest and our bodies to recover which gives us the strength we need to battle illness and maintain a high level of health.
Sometimes you might run into trouble sleeping and this spell will come in handy. If you can, print the spell out and place in a drawer near your bed so that it is handy on those restless nights. In magic cycles are important. We naturally have four cycles:
These cycles are important to this spell as we can switch between them while in the dream state. Make sure that you are sleeping in the correct direction. You may have issues with not sleeping because you are sleeping in a difficult direction. These are the four directions when associated with sleeping.
East = associated with air. This will help one gain more ideas in waking life.
South = This is associated with fire. If we need more energy sleep with your head facing this way.
West = Associated with water and emotions. If you are having a hard time in a relationship make sure your head is facing west,
North = This is earth. If you need to be grounded sleep with your head pointing to the North.
Start off by preparing your sleep area, it seems odd but it is best to begin with a perfectly made bed and most preferably a clean room. Sit on the floor near the bed while holding the dream stone and meditate on all the things that have been troubling or worrying you.
Don’t hesitate while doing this, let all of your feelings come to the surface. Meditate in this way for as long as needed to draw out any everything you can. Once you have done so, quickly write down as much as you can. This is easiest accomplished in list form as it doesn’t need to be highly detailed. As you finish stand up and face the bed and chant the following three times as you pass the stone over the bed in three clockwise circles:
“Tonight I will sleep easy, this is my will so mote it be”.
After this is done, wrap the stone in the paper and place under bed. Repeat this spell as often as needed to get your energy into the habit of peaceful sleep. Once this is accomplished wash the stone in salt water and place in the window of your bedroom to keep your sleeping state protected.

- A blank piece of paper (parchment preferred)
- A blue or purple ink pen
- A piece of smoky quartz (this stone is also called “the dream stone” by many different cultures)
- Your comfortable bed
