Well in my view, bar stools are associated with socialising, relaxing and letting your guard down.

When you dream of sitting on a bar stool it might be about your social life or how you wind down after a long day.  Think about this deeper (on a spiritual level) pubs are where people relax and chat without work/family obligations. So your bar stool in your dream asks questions from that side of your life. Are you getting enough fun, friendship? Are you taking time out for yourself? But when did you just sit down and laugh with people you like?

I do feel your dream is telling you something - you are strong, even though you "fell off." This dream might also happen if you're having trouble fitting in to some group. I remember once I knew I was going to get sacked from a job and it was my birthday and I took in cakes. I remember now it did not really matter as no-one was nice to me there. I wish I could step back and tell myself just to leave. Just to go. Now I am older I would not put up with this stuff. But I suppose if I had no money I might feel differently. I don't know I am waffaling now. Bue I want to say that this is about the fact that you are feeling you don't belong. So this is the bar stool - freedom to be yourself without doing anything for anyone.

This to me in conclusion this dream points to those places or people you used to spend time with, may have changed and aren't as comforting now as they were then. The broken stool represents a social outlet that's not working right now. You go to sit down expecting the familiar support and instead get something broken that cannot hold you up as much as you would like it to, so that is really my take on this whole dream meaning.
