Quail

Quail

The Quail is an unusual animal totem. It is associated with how one connects with others.

This is a medium sized bird that resembles a partridge.

During springtime, quails can lay up to twelve eggs. The young bird will remain with their parents during the first summer. These birds mainly consume leaves and roots and are generally herbivores. Male species help the female incubate the eggs until they hatched.

There is a story about the soon to be Buddha, which is born as a quail. The Buddha encouraged other birds to escape the hunter’s nets by working together. Are you aware of the scene on the Disney animated film Nemo? Nemo encourages all the fish to escape, thus the Buddha goes deeper in the woods in order to escape the huntsman. Some of the quails refused to leave and were later caught by the hunters, ending up in an unfortunate situation.

The Quail teaches us about the higher knowledge; these are mystic creatures and will teach us how to arrive to a deeper sense of spiritual awareness. Furthermore, they are capable of nourishing the soul. A reminder to each and everyone that we must be open minded about the things in life we know little about. Something may appear invisible to the naked eye but it doesn’t mean that it does not exist.

The Quail also teaches us how to evade problems, their ability to sense danger is commendable, teaching us to have the keenness to observe a situation and be aware of the dangers that lurk in our environment.

Moreover, it is teaching us to analyze certain situations or place, whether it is free of dangers and hazards that might affect our carefree living. It is still better to prevent these things from happening, that way you can better protect yourself and your loved ones.

When this creature presents itself to you, he is asking you to spend quality of time with your family. Are you sacrificing your family bond for lesser things? Or are you spending enough time with them? It is basically a question of how are you are spending your time with your family. Sometimes even if you are with them, they can feel that your mind and heart is not with them. Let them feel your presence.

They are also teaching us that we need to socialize and blend in to avoid the impending danger. Sometimes numbers signify safety; one needs to learn how to escape problems with the help of friends. Furthermore, this bird teaches us that there is the right time to grab opportunities; like when one knows when to eat a fruit that is perfectly ripe.

It is better to take your first time and wait before executing plans. A good resolution can be the cause of a careful preparation mixed with the right timing. Let a quail teach you that art.The Quail is a reminder to be aware of our nature.

There are dangers in our everyday life and we must learn how to identify them. Hazard can be brought by a friend, by the surroundings and even by the family. Learn how to elude them. Allow this creature to teach you all this art and you’ll emerge as a better person. This creature might look small and fragile, but I can tell you there are things that a quail can teach you that you won’t learn from other individuals.
