Batton or Wand

A batton or wand is symbolic of spiritual authority and development.

The batton is often associated with readings of tarot cards. This is the only suit of the minor arcana that means this dream represents work. Therefore, in conclusion if you dream of a batton then it is likely to be connected to your waking life. If the batton is used to strike another then this dream represents the that you may need to take a more forceful approach with another.

A batton which is used in Olympic sports such as relaying is often associated with responsibility of a job. It is time for you to take full responsibility of your life.

If the dream involves a police batton then this shows that you have a more positive attitude to new events in your life. If you are female and dream of any type of batton - from even a cricket bat - then this can suggest that you're likely to be looking to a male figure to help you create more authority in your life. Batons are associated with Egyptian priests. If you dream of egypt in relation to wands then it is important to look at all aspects of the meaning.

The Egyptian priests, taking advantage of the people's credulity, taught that the sun, moon, and whole host of heaven were endowed with intelligence, and exerted an influence over the destinies of men; and they (the priests) pretended to work miracles, and obtain oracles and omens. They also laid claim to the power of interpreting dreams.

The Egyptians believed that the souls of men went into other bodies at death,—such as had been virtuous going into exalted bodies, but the vicious passing into mean reptiles and other contemptible creatures. After remaining in a state of punishment for a certain number of years, they were supposed to pass into more exalted beings. Praise was not bestowed indiscriminately upon every person who died, however exalted his position. Characters were given by judges, after inquiry into the life and conduct of the deceased. The judges sat on the opposite side of a lake; and while they crossed the lake, he who sat at the helm was called Charon, which gave rise to the fable among the Greeks, that Charon conducted the souls of deceased persons into the infernal regions.

Wands or Batons

I'm so glad I found this. I read the Tarot all the time and this makes so much sense. There are certain Wands tarot card meanings that can be affiliated to each one of your associated symbols. I always assocated the wands with one's sense of purpose in the world, and of course, spirituality. Wands or batons can reference sexuality, fertility and masculinity.
Best,
-Carolyn
